I'm Om Girkar, a B.Tech student in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at Universal College of Engineering in Mumbai. I build real-world tech by combining frontend development, AI and IoT: web apps that call LLM APIs and speech models, and ESP32 hardware that acts on what they decide. I'm looking for internships in frontend and AI development.
I like projects where the interface matters as much as the logic. SmartNoteZ turns uploaded notes into timed quizzes. Avaia lets you talk to a robotic dustbin that drives to you and opens its lid. Both started with the same question: how do these systems talk to each other, and how do I make that feel simple for the person using it?
I also work on hardware. I've built robotics and assistive devices on Arduino and ESP32, including the Avaia dustbin (dual DC motors, ultrasonic obstacle avoidance, servo-driven lid) and the GuideX blind stick. Avaia was presented at a Computer Science exhibition.
